Acknowledgment of Risk & Release of Liability

I, the undersigned participant, acknowledge and agree to the following:

1. Assumption of Risk

  • I understand that attendance at Alternate Basketball Experience (ABE) watch party events involves inherent risks, including but not limited to slips, falls, physical contact, and other injuries that may occur in a crowded venue environment.
  • I knowingly and voluntarily assume all such risks, both known and unknown, even if arising from the negligence of the organizers, sponsors, volunteers, or facility owners.

2. Release & Waiver of Liability

  • I release, waive, discharge, and hold harmless Alternate Basketball Experience, its organizers, sponsors, affiliates, owners, employees, volunteers, and media partners ("Released Parties") from any and all liability, claims, demands, actions, or causes of action arising from my participation in the event.
  • This release applies to any injuries, damages, or losses I may suffer, including those caused by negligence of the Released Parties, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

3. Medical Treatment Authorization

  • I consent to receive emergency medical treatment if necessary and agree that the Released Parties assume no responsibility for any medical expenses incurred.

4. Compliance with Rules

  • I agree to abide by all rules, instructions, and decisions of the event organizers and staff. Failure to comply may result in removal from the event without refund.

Media & Video Release

  • I understand that Alternate Basketball Experience events are filmed for YouTube, social media platforms, and promotional use.
  • I grant the Released Parties full rights to photograph, video record, livestream, and distribute footage of me, my likeness, voice, and performance.
  • This includes, but is not limited to, use on YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X/Twitter, websites, commercials, and promotional campaigns.
  • I waive any right to inspect or approve the finished product and understand I will not receive compensation for use of this footage.
  • I grant perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free rights for these uses.

Binding Effect

  • This agreement is binding upon me, my heirs, executors, administrators, and assigns.
  • I understand that by purchasing a ticket and attending this event, I am agreeing to the terms of this document and giving up substantial legal rights, including the right to sue.

By purchasing a ticket to any Alternate Basketball Experience event, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by this Acknowledgment of Risk & Release of Liability.
